Mackie DL1608 Takes Center Stage at Bothell Blues Festival

Sep 06, 2012
Bothell Blues Festival 2012The DL1608 is reaching the hands of users worldwide. One of our favorite Mackoids took one out to a local blues festival in Bothell, Washington last weekend. Five of the top Northwest Blues bands (The Wired!, Chester Dennis Jones, Gin Creek, Mary McPage and Miles Tones) brought the crowd to their feet on multiple occasions throughout the 8-hour festival. Amazing players, amazing weather and amazing sound helped create a day to remember for band members and festival attendees alike. Bothell Blues Festival 2012The main PA was comprised of the Mackie DL1608 16-Channel Digital Live Mixer with iPad Control, HD1801 subs, HDA top boxes, HD1221 and SRM450v2 monitors. Every band commented on the quality of the sound on stage as well as what they heard in the audience when other bands were on stage. The DL1608 was at the heart of the system and was a crowd pleaser for the bands and as well as the production staff and attendees. Bothell Blues Festival 2012FOH engineer, Cortley Everett , was amazed at the ease of use and flexibility of the DL1608 compared to the other digital mixers he s used. The iPad interface is very intuitive and I can quickly get to all controls . Cortley also said The wireless capability is a huge benefit and it allows me to mix in ways I ve never experienced before. This was the most fun I ve had mixing in years .     Get more DL1608 info Learn about the Bothell Blues Festival Check out this cool subway slo-mo video that's darn arty
