Mackie Reaches New Heights On Animal Planet's Treehouse Masters

There's no telling where inspiration will strike, and for the owners of Bear Creek Studio it was in the trees surrounding Bear Creek. The renowned studio, located just outside Seattle in Woodinville, WA, has been around for over 30 years and has seen some of the biggest names in the music industry walk through its doors.

Its cozy rural setting has attracted the likes of Lionel Richie, Soundgarden, Foo Fighters, Fleet Foxes, and the Lumineers - just to name a few - to record there. Bear Creek Studio's dream was to build an additional studio space in the lush wooded property of Bear Creek - the ultimate recording studio tree house; a perfect setting for musical inspiration. That's right, we said tree house!

So when Bear Creek Studio hooked up with Animal Planet's Treehouse Masters it was a marriage made in heaven. And with tree house guru, and host of Treehouse Masters, Pete Nelson leading the build, the dream became a reality. When all was said and done, none other than Grammy-award winning megastar CeeLo Green had to check it out for himself.

For their tree top recording pad they needed the very best studio gear so of course the folks at Bear Creek contacted Mackie.

Throughout the episode you can see MR6mk3 Studio Monitorsalong with a MR10Smk3 subwoofer, and a Big Knob Studio Command System. Mackie and Bear Creek are no strangers - we're actually Woodinville neighbors and have collaborated on many occasions. We ve been using.Mackie studio monitors and mixers for comparative listening since Mackie started, so it was an easy decision to work with them once again for this tree house project.
